Microsoft goes 'insane' with latest Xbox update 'SCORPIO'

So you think that you have been to the extremes of gaming experiences, what if I say, I don't think so. Believe me or not I have a new reason to say that after hearing about the latest Xbox update. The project 'SCORPIO' is all set to take you to the extremes of the gaming experiences. This is set to launch in June 2017 for consumers. Reportedly it is going to be the most powerful gaming console till date.  Let's see what specs it has to offer: Project Scorpio's CPU will feature 8 custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz -- well above the original system's 1.75GHz, and even higher than the PS4 Pro's 2.1GHz. The GPU is built around 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz, which will provide a more stable and higher frame rate with faster load times. That far exceeds the Xbox One's 12GCN compute units at 853MHz, and beats the PS4 Pro's 36 improved GCN compute units at 911MHz. In terms of memory, Project Scorpio will offer 12GB GDDR5 compared t

Enhanced website loading with 'GUETZLI'

Weird name though but I am pretty much sure that this name will be an integral part of web fraternity in upcoming years. The question arises what is Guetzli and how would it become so important. Websites are an integral part of life now and who does not hate it if they tend to load slow, quite frustrating isn't it? As always Google has come to our rescue.  > What is GUETZLI ? Guetzli is an encoder developed by Google that allows JPEG files to be compressed as much as 35 percent, resulting in much faster Web page loading. "Guetzli," which means "cookie" in Swiss German, allows users to create smaller JPEG images while maintaining compatibility with existing Web browsers, image processing applications and the existing JPEG standard. > How does it enhance browsing speed? Guetzli produces a result similar to that of Google's Zopfli algorithm, which produces smaller PNG and gzip files without the requirement of a new file format. T

Linux Ecosystem Distribution Softwares

Image
Linux , the king of OS's comes with a variety of flavours. Term OS for linux is nothing in comparison to what its capabilities are, ecosystem seems appropriate. People working on linux environment are majorly working on linux based distribution softwares. Redhat and Ubuntu being the most common names heard, but this is not the end of the list, because in linux ecosystem the unheard names like Linux Mint, openSUSE have been widely used throughout the world from last 25 years around. The different flavours have outcasted each other in some or the other way, thus providing great platforms to work on for end users. Let's see the versions who made a place in my top 10 list. 1.  Linux Mint :  Linux Mint is a stable, robust, and elegant Ubuntu-based distribution. One of the reasons behind its popularity is the fact that up until version 17.x it included out of the box a lot of useful software (such as multimedia codecs). However, this ended with version 18, leaving it up to t

Minimalist browser 'MIN'

Tired of heavy and sluggish browsers?  Becoming minimalistic in life might achieve you a sigh of relief. You say what's the connection between minimalism and browsers? I say yes there is, what if all extensions and other plugins which make the browsers crawl were removed and you had a browser which only did its very basic job, browsing. 'Min' is here to help you with a distraction free browsing. Min Is a Minimal, Open-Source Web Browser for Linux, Mac and windows.  Min isn’t attempting to feature leap Firefox or compete with Chrome but it is here to provide a very basic featured browser based on the 'keep it simple make it smooth' principle > What Min does to increase speed?  The app shuts advanced features like add-on frameworks, UI transitions and window chrome to focus on delivering a clean, straightforward web experience. While Min probably won’t become your default web-browser it’s ideally suited to focused, distraction-free web-bas
